Party time!

Hello guys,

Next week my dad is having his 50th birthday party so I thought I would do a post on party planning and preparation.

I've been helping my mum with the surprises and I must admit it feels really good to be able to do something really nice for somebody who deserves it, some of the special surprises we have planned for him are:

A flashmob with his special song
Personalised Cake Pops
A poem written by moi

Planning surprises for somebody is quite hard because you can't ask for their opinion and you have to betray their trust to the point where they can get so suspicious it makes you fell really guilty.

Anyway other things you can do are:

Smuggle in friends and family they didn't think could come
Make the whole party a surprise
Give them a massive present they weren't expecting

And although it depends on the opinion of the person they will most likely grateful no matter what you do.

Outfit planning is always really fun when it comes to parties.

For this occasion we had no theme so I went with a beautiful geometric and rose patterned dress by Ted Baker:

I'm going to curl my hair and add a rose hair clip.

For make up I am going to wear a Kate Moss lipstick in the shade 45 and a subtle rose gold eyeshadow from my revolution iconic smokey palette.

If you were at all inspired by this post please comment and post pictures in the comment section down below.

Break ups and Shake ups

First day of primary school, close your eyes and imagine your four year old self. Sit up and stretch out yawning. Packing your bag with everything you definitely don't need for school and walking with your mum into your class room.

Break time...

"Hello, my name is Red, can we be friends?"

That is exactly how I got my best friend for the next 7 years (I'm pretty sure you will have similar scenarios).

We were inseparable for years.

Now I haven't seen her in 3 months and we live on the same road, our parents are best friends and our siblings go to the same school.

When doing exams for secondary school we split and I don't think we'll ever come close to feeling as we did again.

We haven't changed much but it's the little things that separate us.

Is this normal?

If you have ever had anything like this please share it in the comments below and give me some advice.

She is the same person:

Same hobbies
Same habits
Same appearance

And yet I feel as if I'm talking to a completely different person and we don't connect anymore.
I have tried reaching out to her but she doesn't respond,
